| Small Group Discussion
Notes, CGLC Conference
The "Mapping Great Lakes
Identity" Conference featured small group planning discussions by participants.
One set of discussions occurred among individuals with mutual thematic interests:
a group on vernacular architecture, one on regional labor history, etc. Two
other sets of breakouts involved randomly-selected attendees, who brainstormed
strategies and tasks for the Center. Notetakers attended these groups and recorded
the discussions. We present them here with the intention that they may serve
as a springboard for future discussions on the Center's listservs. Although
we have reassembled and reorganized the notes so that persons not in attendance
would still be able to reconstruct the essence of the discussion, the material
presented here is, naturally, in rough form.
As the electronic discussion
proceeds, we will update this archive to reflect new ideas and suggestions.
