Michigan Historical Museum: 1930s Great Depression Gallery - This site is devoted to exploring the experiences of people in Michigan to the Great Depression.It includes historical photographs and descriptions of “Depression News” including its impact on labor unions, CCCC, and local soup kitchens.

ArtServe Michigan - ArtServe Michigan is a statewide communication link between artists, arts organizations, educators and government, providing a flow of information to legislators regarding the state of arts and culture in Michigan. News Updates, Action Alerts and other informational materials will be available to the arts and cultural community about pending legislative issues affecting arts and arts education.
Native American Research in Michigan - Provides information on how to go about doing Native American genealogy research using the Ottawa, Chippewa, and Potawatomi tribes as examples. Provides links to the Federal Census, the Indian Census, Addresses, Church Records, and School Records.
State Archives of Michigan - Native Americans - More elaborate descriptions of the records listed here can be found in specially prepared finding aids kept in the Reading Room. Researchers are encouraged to visit the Archives and personally examine the materials listed as well.
Native Americans of Northern Michigan - A collection of facts, fiction & myths, misconceptions, drawings, pictures & writings relative to the Native American culture.
The Historic Ramsdell Theatre, Manistee Michigan, Contemporary Michigan Native American Art - An exhibit of works by Michigan Native American artists in a variety of media: acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, calligraphy, charcoal, fabric, sculpture, basketry, clay, porcupine quills, and birch bark on loan from Jesse Besser Museum, Alpena, Michigan.

The Michigan Electronic Library - The Michigan Electronic Library (MEL) is an online information system that provides residents of Michigan with no-charge access to a core set of electronic resources over the Internet. MEL's 'virtual library' is selected and evaluated by librarians and is designed to be a comprehensive electronic information tool for the state's libraries, schools and citizens.
State Archives of Michigan - Homepage of the State Archives, this page gives information about the resources available. With documents dating back to 1797, the State Archives of Michigan houses much of Michigan's record heritage. More than 80 million state and local government records and private papers, 300,000 photographs and 500,000 maps, plus films and audio tapes are available for public research. Records in the State Archives are particularly useful for tracing genealogy, legislative history/intent, land surveys, military service, and governmental policy on mental health, public health, education, labor, welfare and corrections.
Michigan’s Historic Sites On-line - The project put over 3,000 of Michigan's National Register, State Register, and Historical Marker properties, current to December 1998, on the World Wide Web in a searchable database.

Michigan Arts and Humanities Touring Directory - The 1998-2000 Arts and Humanities Touring Directory assists Michigan nonprofit organizations seeking live arts and humanities presentations for classrooms, libraries, museums and other public stages around Michigan. It is a booking guide for groups and individuals to use when planning both public and private events. The artists, lecturers and presenters listed in the directory submitted an application, publicity materials (if available) and video tape (performers) or slides (visual arts) to the Michigan Humanities Council for adjudication.
The Arts and Humanities Radio Project
- The Michigan Radio Arts and Humanities Radio Project brings the arts and humanities to the homes, cars and offices of listeners across Michigan.  This site features archives of past radio reports and access to Michigan Radio - WUOM, WFUM, WVGR, and Michigan Public Radio Network member stations across the state including WDET, Interlochen Public Radio Stations, WEMU, WKAR, WGVU, and WMUK.

Southwest Michigan Underwater Preserve
- This site is dedicated to promoting, interpreting and preserving, for educational, historical and recreational purposes, the Southwest Michigan Underwater Preserve. The history of Michigan can be traced by the material records of its shipwrecks. Although shipwrecks and other underwater cultural resources are protected under the law anywhere in Michigan's Great Lakes waters, certain areas have been designated as state underwater preserves. These preserves are "underwater museums" that protect concentrations of shipwrecks, unique geological features and other submerged sites.

Edsel and Elanor Ford House - This site includes a virtual tour of the house, information for touring, and news related to the Ford family.
Henry Ford Estate - Fairlane - Includes a virtual tour and historical information about of the estate of automotive pioneer, Henry Ford.
The Heidelberg Project - This site features online tours and related resources for The Heidelberg Project, artist Tyree Guytan's outdoor work of art in inner city Detroit. The Heidelberg project is an environment in the heart of Detroit a bridge - a seed - and a beacon for the people of Heidelberg Street, the city of Detroit, and beyond.

Michigan State University Fine Arts Virtual Exhibition - Published since 1917, Michigan History Magazine is about--and a part of--Michigan's fascinating past. Every colorful 56-page issue tells the exciting stories of Michigan people and their impact on their communities, the nation and the world. Michigan History Magazine overflows with intriguing feature articles, bold illustrations and departments highlighting history-related books, travel and events. Six bimonthly issues each year include an expanded single-theme collector’s issue. You can check out the current issue and request a trial issue.

Michigan Outdoors Culture Tour Schedule
